Man kills wife getting drunk

A woman died after her husband thrashed her black and blue at Bahundangi VDC in Jhapa on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Chandra Urawa, 35, of the VDC, said police. Chandra’s husband Sunil Urawa thrashed her indiscriminately under the influence of alcohol over a minor dispute on Friday night. Critically injured Chandra breathed her last while receiving treatment at Dhulabari-based Amda Hospital. Police have arrested Sunil.
