Police arrested a man who was allegedly involved in a rape case in Jajarkot on September 15. The suspect has been identified as 38-year-old Samsher Malla of Bankejyula, Ghetma-8 in Rukum district. Malla raped an 18-year-old girl who was returning from an oil mill on September 5, according to police. Police said the mill was owned by the suspect himself. Now, the victim is mentally disturbed and not in a condition to talk to anyone, the victim’s father informed. Her daily life has been very much disturbed and does not care about her studies and hygiene, he added. DSP Dan Bahadur Malla said police have initiated procedures to file a case against him.
