Bagmati, Kathmandu, Kathmandu

Nepali Twitteratis have gathered in front of the Indian Embassy at Lainchaur, Kathmandu to “donate petrol" after the Embassy asked Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) to provide gasoline for its motor vehicles as local stations have run dry due to the blockade by India. In a symbolic protest against the current unofficial blockade imposed by India against Nepal, the youths converged outside the embassy, carrying petrol-filled bottles and placard reading: “we don’t need oil, but won’t sell our self-respect.” They were stopped outside the department of mines and geology on the way to the Indian embassy. As the news broke about Indian embassy's request to the Nepal Oil Corporation for providing oil, tweets have begun a campaign on social networking site Twitter asking everyone collect oil to donate it to the embassy from early Wednesday.
