District Child Welfare Committee (DCWC) demanded action against 52-year-old Shyam Shrestha of Jamune VDC-4 for molesting a 12-year-old girl. Santosh Godar, the program officer at DCWC filed the FIR on her behalf on October 8 asking for action on the charges of rape. The girl, who was working as a domestic help at his house. It came to light that the girl’s father is already dead and her mother is in Qatar for work. The girl is currently under the protection of DCWC. Her medical check-up was conducted at District Police Office on October 21. The accused absconded and the District Police Office claims that they are still searching for him.
