22-year-old Yadav Gautam of India who is currently working at Meena Furniture in Sandhikharka has been sentenced to 10 years in jail on October 8 on the charges of raping a 14-year-old girl. District court registrar Bhim Bhushal said that he was sentenced on the basis of the available evidence. The family of the girl had filed an FIR against Gautam at District Police Office on September 24, 2014, accusing him of raping her on September 22. Earlier, the district court had remanded him in custody on October 21. The girl’s health check-up was conducted at District Hospital, Sandhikharka on September 24.
