Two fuel black marketers held

Police arrested two persons on the charge of selling petrol at a higher rate than its marked price, from Kathmandu on Saturday. 26-year-old Nawaraj Basnet, a resident of KMC-25, was selling petrol at Rs 500 per litre when he was nabbed by the police near Sunrise Chok on Saturday. He is a permanent resident of Barbuna-7 of Morang. Likewise, 32-year-old Bhaksudhan Chaudhary, a resident of Jachhuda-2, Nawalparasi, was arrested while he was selling petrol at Rs 350 per litre near Shiva Temple of Tokha-13 on Saturday. Police also confiscated additional 30 litres of petrol and four-litre turpentine from Basnet and 39 litres of petrol from Chaudhary’s possession. Police informed that they are investigating into the cases.
