The district court of Saptari has extended remand against the 36-year-old man who was arrested by the police on the charge of raping a 15-year-old teen. According to DSP Narayan Prasadh Chimiriya, on 19th of October at around 11 pm at night, the accused threatened the victim by showing her a pistol and raped her by taking her two hundred metres away from her home. The accused who had run away for a few days was later handed over to the police by relatives of the victim who took him under control after he returned back to the village. Police started an investigation into the case by registering a complaint filed by the victim's mother. Police also recovered the pistol used to threaten the victim from the arrested.
