Cadres of SLMM clashed with police in Jeetpur on Monday. The SLMM cadres staged a demonstration after the police forcefully removed demonstrators who were staging a sit-in at Miteri bridge in the Nepal-India border at Birgunj this morning. Police fired 2 rounds in the air and lobbed 12 rounds of tear gas to disperse the demonstrators after the situation escalated. Meanwhile, 45-year-old Mohan Sahani of Biratnagar has been injured after being hit by a stone pelted by the protesters targeting a truck bearing plate number Na 5 Kha 9283.
