The cadres of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha seized 1,000 litres of petrol at two different places in Gaushala in the district and destroyed it on Tuesday, saying the fuel was smuggled in from Indian border. The fuel was set on fire at the road. The Morcha cadres seized the petrol that was being brought on bicycle and van. The SLMM has been launching a protest movement in the Tarai-Madhes for over three months.
