Three held for petrol black marketing

Police have arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in selling diesel and petrol at a higher rate than its marked price from different parts of the Kathmandu Valley on Monday. Police said that they have arrested Baleshwor Sah (22), an operator of the Om Namaha Workshop and a permanent resident of Raxual, India, with possession of 340 litres of diesel. Acting on a tip-off that Sah was selling diesel at Rs 230 per litre, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati, nabbed him with the diesel yesterday. Similarly, Manoj Guragain (22) of Bahundangi-8, Jhapa was detained with possession of 305 litres of petrol from the Kirtipur Motor Driving Centre on Monday. Police said that they are looking into both cases.
