Indian Nationals have attacked the leaders and cadres of Madhesi Morcha who were staging sit-in at the Miteri Bridge, Birgunj-Raxual check point on December 2 night. Five Madhesi Morcha cadres have sustained injures by the attack of Indian Nationals of Ahirawa Tole of Raxual, India. Suresh Sah Kanu, Ranjeet Sah of Kalaiya Municipality, Bara, Ram Dahin Yadav, Nandu Yadav of Jhitlkaiya and Firoz Babu Khan of Birgunj Municipality-13 have sustained injures. Among those injured, Kanu is said to be in critical condition. All injured cadres have been undergoing treatment in Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital. Around one hundred Indian Nationals from Ahirwa Tole, Raxual carrying wooden sticks attacked the cadres who were staging sit-in at the Miteri Bridge at 8:30 pm. Agitators have destroyed the tent placed at the sit-in. One Indian number-plated truck entered into Raxaul while the cadres were chased away from their sit-in spot. Indian Nationals attacked the agitators in order to enter the empty truck into Raxual after delivery of stuffs in Nepal. Due to obstruction around 25/30 trucks have been stuck in the Birgunj check point. After getting information about the attack by Indian Nationals, protestors from Birgunj and surrounding areas have re-staged their sit-in at the Miteri Bridge last night. Indian Nationals have attacked the demonstrators when most of them were having meal in mess at Raxual, said Rajkumar Yadav, Leader of Federal Madhesi Alliance. Earlier on November 30 morning, dispute have arises between Indian driver and protestors when driver tried to enter the truck into Raxual. Dispute have arises around 6 o’clock in the morning when Indian driver tried to enter the truck in India while the protestors had gone to defecate. Indian number-plate trucks queuing to enter India have returned from the Miteri- Bridge after demonstrators stopped the entry towards India.
