Cadres of Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha took out a rally along the East West Highway in Nawalpur of Sarlahi district as part of their highway-centric mass-demonstration programme on Thursday. A week ago Morcha’s protest in Fuljhor section of the highway was obstructed by Chure Bhavar Party. Morcha organised today’s protest as a “show of strength”. The administration has beefed up security fearing possible clash between Chure Bhavar cadres and Morcha cadres after warning from Chure Bhavar Party to not allow Morcha demonstration in the highway area. The mass assembly was addressed by Tarai Madhes Sadbhawana Party Chair Mahendra Raya Yadav, Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal leader Rijwan Ansari, among others.
