A police team deployed from Teku-based Metropolitan Police Crime Division has arrested a youth for his alleged involvement in black marketing of petroleum products, on Thursday. The arrestee has been identified as 37-year-old Dhurav Rai, a native of Panchawati of Udyapur district, currently living in Harisiddhi, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City.
Police also seized 17 cooking gas cylinders of Tara brand, an unknown quantity of diesel and Rs 38,000 and a convertible pick-up truck with bearing number plate Ba 2 Cha 512 allegedly used for transporting the petroleum products from Mahalaxmiisthan of Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City. Police said they are looking into the case.
