Cadres of Brihat Madhesi Yuva Morcha have vandalised the Birgunj-based Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital on Monday, alleging irregularity while appointing doctors and nurse. A group of 10-12 youths vandalised the office of Hospital Development Committee Chairman Prof Dr Ram Dev Tiwari. The unruly youths broke the glass covering Dr Tiwari’s table, telephone and name-plate saying why is the hospital appointing staffs during Madhes banda. The hospital had begun the process of appointing 5 doctors and 8 staff nurse. The results of the appointment are scheduled to be published on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the police have arrested three persons in connection to the vandalism. Nishant Mishra, Ishwor Yadav and Anil Gupta have been taken into custody for further investigation.
