Police have made accused rapist Sagar Dongol, 19, of Nijgadh-9 public organizing a press meet on December 27. Locals had handed Dongol over to the police after apprehending him while he was raping a 16-year-old girl in a jungle on December 19. Inspector Pankaj Chudali of Area Police Office Nijgadh said that the health check-up of the girl was performed at Kailaiya Hospital and it had confirmed the rape. Dongol was arrested after the girl filed a complaint on December 20. Police charged him under rape and initiated an investigation.
