Police have arrested Prakash Chaulagain, 22, of Chandrapur Municipality-1 on January 22 on charge of raping a 25-year-old woman with intellectual disability. According to police, Chaulagain was arrested after locals reported police that they had found him raping the woman at a jungle in Chandrapur-1 on January 22. DSP Manoj Kumar Yadav of the Area Police Office said that Chaulagain admitted raping the woman in inebriated condition. Medical examination of the victim and Chaulagain was conducted at Chandranigahapur Hospital. DSP Yadav said that the victim was sent to Women and Children Service Center of police for safety while the accused was held in custody for further investigation. Bipeen Gautam.
