36-year-old Narayan Prasad Pokharel, a resident of Ramjakot VDC-5 has been arrested in accusation of attempted rape on January 30 from Tribhuwan International Airport. Pokharel who came to Nepal on holidays from foreign employment was arrested while he was returning to work. The accused tried to rape a 13-year-old girl on January 8 in a hotel at Bandipur municipality-1. The family of the victim filed an FIR in the District Police Office on January 14 against the accused. According to Inspector Bijay Raj Pandit of Litigation Section of District Police Office, the perpetrator was brought to Damauli on January 30, and investigation regarding the incident is on-going.
