Police arrested Man Singh Thapa, 18, on the charges of injuring his wife, Krishna Maya Thapa, 19, of Shikakhani VDC-5 with sharp weapons on January 30. A neighbor informed police after Man Singh escaped after attacking and injuring his wife, Krishna Maya with a sharp weapon on January 30 around 4 pm in Krishna Maya’s parents' home at Shikakhani 9. Based on the verbal complaint by the neighbor, the police arrested the accused from the Khawang market on the same day. Krishna sustained injuries in head and hand, informed the victim. She received treatment at Palpa Prabash. Man Singh, who was abroad for foreign employment had threatened Krishna over the telephone to kill her and Krishna was in her parent's home from one week, informed Krishna’s mother, Bibha Bhujel. Thapa, who got married in 2015, went to Malaysia for foreign employment. Krishna returned from Malaysia on January 28 after his wife who was in her natal home refused to return home, informed Thapa. Sub-Inspector of Police informed that Thapa attacked his wife with a sharp weapon after she refused to go home with him when he directly went to in-laws home from Kathmandu to take his wife.
