22-year-old Gunaraj Dong and 19-year-old Pramila Himdung of Hetauda sub-metropolitan-28, Basamadi, were arrested by the police on February 3 in accusation of polygamy. According to District Police Office, the accused were arrested on the basis of complaint filed by Gunaraj's first wife, 24-year-old Ganga Dong. The victim had filed the complait on January 29. The accused Gunaraj had married second wife Pramila, a resident of Padampokhari on January 13. Similarly, 36-year-old Nawaraj Lama, a resident of Bhaisey VDC-6 was arrested on February 3 on charge of polygamy. 23-year-old Sunita Jima, Nawaraj's second wife from Makwanpur Gadi VDC-3 is still at large. Accused Nawaraj married Sunita on December 28. The accused was arrested as per the complaint filed by his first wife, 30-year-old Masini Majhi. The victim had filed the complaint on January 24.
