Bednidhi Adhikari of Thulogaun VDC-7 has accused policemen of District Police Office Rasuwa of inflicting physical and mental torture on him on February 15. Police arrested him after Sonam Tamang of Thulgaun VDC-6 filed a case at Dadagaun Police Post on February 12 accusing Adhikari of not returning 300,000 rupees that he had from her. Adhikari was sent to the District Police Office Dhunche on February 13. According to the victim, he suffered broken back and bruises after three policemen beat him up. DSP Abadesh Bishta said that the incident took place while he was not present in the DPO. He added that action would be taken after forming an investigation committee to probe the incident.
