An elderly man from Birtamod Municipality in Jhapa murdered his wife and hanged himself to death today morning. Tana Bahadur Rajbanshi, 60, of Charpane in Jhapa, killed his 35-year-old wife Shanti Kumari Rajbanshi with a khukuri and went on to kill himself hanging at his own home, according to the Area Police Office, Anarmani. The investigation into the case is underway as the reason behind the murder is yet to be known, said Janardan Ghimire, Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Anarmani.
