A police staffer has allegedly murdered his wife on Saturday morning. The Sub-inspector of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Lainchaur, Yuvaraj Pandey has been accused of murdering his own wife Sangeeta Thapa Pandey. According to the police, they were informed of the incident at about 9:30 am. Pandey and his wife had been living in a rented room in Khusibu, Nayabazaar, KMC-16. He had a brittle relationship with his wife for the past two years. However, police assumed that the deceased may have taken Metacid(Methyl parathion). The parental family of the deceased has charged Pandey with the murder and demanded the punishment. Moreover, the neighbors and the locals of Nayabazaar demanded the punishment on the murderer and picketed the Metropolitan Police Circle, Lainchaur, which has temporarily been shifted from Sorhakhutte and stationed at Nayabazaar Town planning, KMC-16. The ASI of Metropolitan Police Circle, Lainchaur, Gyan Bahadur Tamang informed THT Online over the phone that the Sub-Inspector Pandey of the office has been kept in custody for the investigation while the victim’s body is being sent for postmortem.
