Local people of Jatahara in Rautahat district thrashed black and blue an Assistant Technician of Jatahara Village Development Committee accusing him of irregularity in distribution of social allowances of 16 months. Sheikh Chand Ali, living in Gaur, was thrashed and forced to walk around the city area for embezzling the social allowances of deserving people. Ali was taken to the Chief District Officer at the District Administration Office demanding strong action against him. Locals claimed that he used to embezzle the money by making fake signatures in the documents. Earlier also, Ali was arrested for the irregularity of Rs 900,000 but later released on bail.
