A team of Nepal Army has defused an abandoned socket bomb near Shiva temple in Khalachaur of Michgaun in Chandannath Municipality-9 on March 7. The locals had informed the District Police Office after finding the Improvised Explosive Device (IED). A bomb disposal team of Bhagwati Dal Battalion led by Caption Season Thapa deactivated the IED, said Inspector Dil Bahadur Thapa of the DPO. Police suspected that the explosive device might have been abandoned during the armed conflict.
