Absconding criminal, 41-year-old Ratan Tamang of Ilam municipality-6, has been arrested by the police from Ilam Bazar on March 10. Tamang had been on-the-run since he raped a woman on August 11, 2012. District Court had announced a sentence of 8 years in prison and 25 thousand rupees fine as a verdict of the case filed under Rape Act on August 8, 2015. DSP Prakash Ranabhat informed that Tamang would be presented before the court on March 10 and will be sent to prison.
