Socket bombs defused in Nawalparasi

2016-03-15

A bomb disposal squad of the Nepal Army on Tuesday defused three socket bombs found in a forest nearby Dhurkot VDC-6 of Nawalparasi district. The bombs were presumably hidden in the forest during the decade-old armed conflict between the state and then rebel force CPN-Maoist. The team deputed from Bajradal Battalion under the leadership of Captain Sabin Rayamajhi had defused the bombs. Locals had informed police and media after they noticed one single-set and two double-set socket bombs. The NA team had immediately reached the site and disposed of the bombs, it has been learned.
