2016-03-19

Federal Alliance organised a protest rally in Kathmandu demanding amendments to the constitution to address the concerns of Madhesi, Janajati and other marginalised communities. Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav, co-chair of the party Rajendra Shrestha, senior leader of Tarai Madhes Democratic Party Ram Naresh Ray, General Secretary of Sadbhawana Party Manish Kumar Suman and Federal Limbuwan State Council leader Kumar Lingden were among the leaders who led the protest. The protesters carrying black flags and placards marched from Shanti Batika, Ratna Park to Maitighar Mandala. Addressing a corner meeting at Maitighar Mandala, FSF-N Co chair Shrestha said the alliance organised the meeting to draw the attention of northern neighbour China on issues of marginalised sections of Nepal ahead of the PM’s visit to China. Janajati and Madhesi leaders had met Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai yesterday to draw China’s attention towards the issues of marginalised sections of Nepal.
