Two held for black marketing in Kathmandu

A woman and a youth were arrested for their alleged involvement in black marketing of petroleum products in Kathmandu, on Tuesday. Police said, an Indian national named Uma Devi Chaulagain (38) reportedly sold a cooking gas cylinder at a hiked rate of Rs 2,600 from her store in Balkhu, KMC-14. Police nabbed her and seized eight cylinders of cooking gas. Similarly, Mahendra Isar (17) of Pattiya, Rajbiraj-7 in Saptari district, currently running a pan shop in Satdobato, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-15 was caught red-handed while selling petrol at Rs 170 per litre from his shop. Petrol is available at Rs 99 in the market. Police said they are looking into the case.
