The District Court of Dang has sentenced 10 years imprisonment each to two persons, convicting them of gang-raping a 17-year-old girl. A bench of District Judge Churaman Khadka on March 22 issued the sentence against Manoj Dangi, 19, and Krishna Bista, 24, of Dhanauri VDC-9. The court slapped five years imprisonment to each for rape and an additional five years for gang-rape. Shrestedar of the District Court Gambhir Rana said that the court also fined them 15,000 rupees each. Area Police Office Tulsipur had arrested Dangi and Bista on the charges of raping the girl while she was sleeping at her home on May 4, 2014.
