Radha Balayar, 27, of Barpata VDC-1, filed a lawsuit at District Court, Doti on March 23, seeking divorce against her husband Tara Balayar, 30. The mother of three children, Radha Balayar had filed a complaint at the Women and Children Service Center of the district police office, Doti last year but reached an agreement with her husband. As her husband and father-in-law started inflicting pain on her, she had no other choice but to file for a divorce, according to her. The victim said that she had signed a letter of understanding a year back hoping that her husband would treat her better. In accordance with the victim’s complaint, Doti police officials said that it would start legal action very soon.
