Police have arrested 30-year-old Jahur Alam alias Phekana of Hariraha Basantpur in Bhuhati VDC-7 on March 28 on the charge of raping a 14-year-old girl. According to the victim, Jahur raped her at around 2 am on March 28 at knifepoint while she was sleeping at her home. She added that the accused threatened to kill her if she reported the incident to anyone. SI Hari Khadka of the District Police Office said that the accused was arrested after mother of the victim filed a complaint at the DPO on March 29. Medical examination of the victim was conducted at Rajbiraj-based Zonal Hospital on March 28.
