Adopting a fast track method, The Chitwan District Court has announced the sentence in a case regarding attempted rape on a 60-year-old woman within 5 days of the registration of the case. Information Officer of the District Court, Krishna Baral informed that 62-year-old Krishna Bahadur Lama, a resident of Khairahani municipality-4 was sentenced to two years and six months in prison on April 4. The victim's husband had filed a complaint against Lama on March 11 stating that Lama had attempted rape on his wife, earlier that day. Based on the complaint, police had arrested Lama on the same day and filed a case against him on March 30. The victim's medical examination was done at Bharatpur Hospital on March 14.
