Bhutai Daas, a resident of Sukhipur-1, Siraha has been arrested in accusation of involvement in the small arms trade. Based on a special tip-off, Daas was followed and searched. According to DSP Ek Narayan Koirala, police confiscated two homemade pistols from him. The preliminary investigation has revealed that Daas has been involved in illegal small arms trade for past 8 years in the disguise of a Sadhu. Daas was on a motorcycle of an Indian plate-number of BR 32 AF 1603 while he was arrested. On searching the rider, Harigovind Yadav's house at Harkati-5, police found a 9mm semi-automatic pistol with "Made in Italy" written on it. Yadav has also been arrested. It has been revealed that he is also involved in the arms trade for 8 years.
