48-year-old Chukumaya Gurung of Saldang VDC-4, Luri came to headquarters in search of justice against her husband, Nurbukyaljan Gurung who beats her almost every day. The victim filed an inquiry at District Police Office, Dunai requesting justice against her torturous husband on April 18. The victim was forced to come to the headquarters as her intoxicated husband beat her while she was doing household chores on April 18. The incident site is in a remote part of Upper Dolpa; about four days walk from district headquarters, Dunai. According to the chief of the District Police Office, Dubaraj Raut, the nearby police stations of Saldang were ordered to arrest Gurung and bring him to District Police Office.
