Graft case against cop for fake credential in Kathmandu

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Tuesday filed a case at the Special Court against the then Sub Inspector Toran Bahadur Bhandari of District Police office, Bardiya.
The CIAA said that ex-Sub Inspector Bhandari submitted a fake certificate of High School, acquired from the Board of High School and Intermediate, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The commission has filed the charge sheet claiming for maximum punishment under sec 12 and 29 (2) of the former Corruption Control Act, 1961, and sec 16(1) of the prevailing Prevention of Corruption Act 2002.
