The office room of the district education officer was vandalized by a group of parents on July 14 on charge of not giving permission letter to standard 8 of St Marrys school operating in Biratnagar sub- Municipality-3. The parents of students have smashed the table glass of Edcuation Officer Devendra Raj Khanal. At that time he was inside the office room. Parent Kedar karki said that the education office has been lingering to give the permission letter. Karki said that if the education office denies giving permission, the future of 88 students in 8thstandard will be affected. DEO Khanal said that the permission was not given from the department level as they do not meet the physical infrastructure standard. The school had submitted the application asking permission to operate standard 8 on January end.
