The Forest Minister of the present government, Shanker Bhandary is found to be violating the election code of conduct by involving in election-related activities. The minister participated in the election assembly at Bhanu Municipality on May 6 against the election code of conduct. The minister had even asked for the votes of the mayor and vice-mayor of the party during the program. According to paragraph 3 of the election code of conduct, a person appointed as a minister or having a government post cannot participate in election-related activities. The minister used a government vehicle with flags to participate in the election assembly which is a direct breaching of election code of conduct.
