Nepali Congress demonstrated in Rautahat as part of the party's nation-wide protest against the government on July 31. Nepali Congress which is also the major opposition party organized a protest rally starting from the compound of a local rice mill in Gaur and culminated into a corner assembly later. In the rally, the protestors shouted slogans against the government's action against press freedom and its passiveness towards flood victims and inflation. नेपाली कांग्रेसले रौतहटमा लगायत देशभरका जिल्ला सदरमुकाममा आज सरकारविरुद्ध प्रदर्शन गरेको छ ।रौतहटको सदरमुकाम गौरको राइसमिलको जमिनबाट निस्केको जुलुस नगरको विभिन्न भागमा परिक्रमा गर्दै कोणसभामा परिणत भएको हो ।कांग्रेसले मूल्यवृद्धि आकासिँदो भए पनि यसमा सरकार गम्भीर नभएको,स्वतन्त्र प्रेसको अधिकारलाई कुण्ठित गरिएको, बाढी पहिरोबाट पिडित जनताका आवश्यकता र समस्याहरुप्रति सरकार उदासीनताका साथ प्रस्तुत भएको आरोप लगाएको छ ।
