The victim’s party of 40 years old Som Bahadur Basnet of Galkot Municipality-6 complained that he was injured in a beating by patrolling police.
On the night of January 14, policemen Prem Singh Bista and Buddha Thapa intimidated him during a patrolling. The victim is receiving treatment at Phewa City Hospital in Pokhara according to the family member.
After the pressure from victim’s family and locals, both policemen were summoned to the District Police Office.
Policemen said that there was a manhandling in a patrolling after the victim was interrogated whether he has consumed alcohol or not. Both accused have accepted that there was a minor fighting according to inspector Keshav Singh Thapa.
The victim’s family are demanding for the action against the accused.
