Chair Khim Narayan manandhar of Harinas Rural Municipality has abused and beaten police on October 24. The accused said that he intimidated police after they shown their apathy on taking action against those involved in vandalization of his house by a group of local youths even after the lodging complaint. They had even beaten Som Bahadur Manandhar, brother of Khim Narayan in the incident.
Manandhar accused police administration of giving shelter to the guilty involved in an incident. A group of youth had vandalized table , chair and destroyed the stage during the volleyball tournament at Harinas Rural Municipality-6.
CDO Kosh Hari Niraula of Syangja said that the incident will be investigated and guilt will be taken action. He added that a team of police were deployed in the incident site as soon as getting the information about the situation.
Manandhar said that he slapped one policeman on charge of attempting to give protection to the accused. During a minor clash, one policeman was injured according to the police.
On August 29, chairman Manandhar was attempted to attack near the jungle at Harinas while coming back from the office. The same group had attacked and vandalized his house according to the chairman. He accused police of attempting to protect the accused.
