Tension ran high in Rapti Institute of Health Science in Dang following the death of 41-year-old, Bhimi Saru of Banglachuli Rural Municipality-7, Sirukharka during the course of treatment at the institute. She died while undergoing treatment this morning.
Family members and relatives of Bhimi demonstrated at the hospital premise saying Saru died due to the hospital's negligence and demanded action against the doctors involved in her treatment. She was admitted to hospital on Saturday.
According to Tikaram Saru, the deceased's husband, Bhimi was admitted to hospital last night but health workers did not show interest in her treatment and the illness became worse, her urine stopped at 1:00 am. The nurse working there did not show any interest and even doctors did not turn up to check her.
Doctorr Jitanarayan Yadav of the hospital said that the patient died of diarrhea and low blood pressure. He said the patient also has a problem in her kidney.
