Police accused of beating drunk locals

Police from Temporary Police Office at Mathichaur are accused of beating two laborers; 30-year-old Takka Bhandari of Khatyad Rural Municipality-9 and 29-year-old Tilak Rokaya of Khatyad-4 for drinking alcohol.
Bhandari shared that the police assaulted him and Rokaya on Monday evening when he had an argument while buying cigarettes. Khatyad Rural Municipality has prohibited alcohol in all the wards.
The police arrested Bhandari on July 1 and Rokaya on July 2. Police assaulted both of them.
