Local Representatives of Saptakoshi Municipality padlocked the office of Acting Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, Ramdev Chaudhary.

A group led by deputy mayor Asha Chowdhury, along with a team of ward chairpersons padlocked the office saying that the Ramdev had been halting citizen's work.

According to Narayan Acharya, ward chairperson of ward 1, Ramdev, who was appointed as Acting Chief of Office from December, stopped doing citizen's work when his personal expectations were not met.

" We padlocked because the work was not being done," said Acharya. After the Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality's office, Rajakpur Chaulagain was transferred, Ramdev deputy secretary of the education branch, became the chief administrative officer of the municipality. According to ward member Zahir Hussein, 39 plans and agreements made during Ramdev's tenure are still incomplete.
