The students of technical stream affiliated to the Nepal Students' Union padlocked the Janakpurdham Regional Office of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training Council (CTEVT).
The students from eight districts of the province 2 padlocked the CTEVT office demanding extension of the application deadline for scholarship and full fee form for the technical side.
According to Nepal Student Union CTEVT province 2 Chairperson Sasendra Mohan Joshi, they padlocked the office after the office ignored repeated requests from the students to extend the deadline.
The state coordinator of the union, Raj, said that there is a demand for extension of deadline for the submission of scholarship application for at least a week. Due to the floods in several districts of madhesh, many students were not able to fill the form and stating this reason, the union has demanded an extension to fill the form.
