There has been controversy over the issue of appointment of contract teacher at Mahendra Secondary School in Motipur, Village-4 of Morang. The locals have demanded the release of the chairman of the school management committee who was arrested for irregularities in the examination.

Locals demanded the release of School Management Committee Chairman Rikesh Kumar Sardar and teacher Kirtan Lal Biswas. A written test was taken for the contract teacher in Gramthan village on June 24.

It has been alleged that there was an irregularity in the examination and the question paper was already leaked before the exam. The participant candidate, Sangeeta Chaudhary, said that the non-objective question paper was divided into two parts and distributed two times.

Regarding the irregularities in the examination, Sangeeta Chaudhary and two others had filed an application demanding re-examination to Rikesh Kumar Sardar, the coordinator of the examination committee. After hearing this, complaints were also made to the District Education Coordination Unit through the village.

As the dispute escalated, the locals demanded improvement and demanded the release of those arrested.
