Members of the Gurung community staged a demonstration in Chipledhunga of Pokhara on Sunday protesting against the government's decision to revoke the National Holiday on Tamu Lhosar. Tamu Lhosar is the biggest festival of the Gurung community. The protest was lead by Tamu Hyul Chhonj Dhinko Society.
The protestors accused the government of discriminating against the indigenous community by removing all their festivals from National Holiday list.
