Sudurpashchim, Doti, Dipayal Silgadi, Ward 2
Hundreds of locals protested against the Mayor of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality Manju Malasi and her team after they didn't get relief materials.
According to the list provided by the ward office, a team including the mayor Manju Malasi went to distribute relief to 34 persons in ward-2 of Dipayal Silgadi Municipality. Groups that didn't get relief materials criticized the people's representatives, saying they too need relief materials.
Likewise, locals padlocked K.I Singh Rural Municipality-6 due to discrimination during relief distribution. Local Ekaendra Bhatta alleged the ward chairperson of distributing the Covid-19 relief to the rich people rather than poor ones. He told that they staged the demonstration against the irregularity in the relief distribution process. He says the padlocking will continue until the needy families receive relief.
