Arbind Kumar Yadav (36) of Devanganj rural municipality-3 has accused the armed police of beating him. According to him, policeman Krishna Bhujel of the Armed Police asked him for money and beat him on 12 June while he had gone to his field which is near the Nepal-India border.
The victim was injured after the beating and was treated at the local clinic on 12 June. The victim has filed a complaint at the Area Police Office asking for protection.
Inspector Pashupati Puri of the Armed Border Security Force has confirmed about the policeman beating the victim but according to him, Arbind Kumar Yadav had verbally abused the policeman.
The locals held a press conference on 13 June asking for action against the accused. They have accused the Armed Police of charging money with different excuses.
