JANAKPURDHAM: The mayor and ward chair of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City have assaulted with each other in the meeting set for the discussion about the plans for coming fiscal year.
According to Sub-Metropolitan sources, Mayor Lal Kishor Sah and Ward Chair Dipendra Sah fought physically against each other on Monday.
The source claimed that Mayor Lal Kishor Sah came 2 hours late than the scheduled time and tried to get the minute signed forcefully.
The meeting of the planning committee of the Submetropolitan City was scheduled for 1 pm. When Ward Chair Sah sought explanation on the reason to sign the minute despite disagreeing in the decisions, the mayor assaulted him.
Soon the meeting hall looked like a battle field getting some chairs damaged in the fight.Few including Mithilesh Karna, ward chair of Ward No. 10 got injured in the incident.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Lal Kishor Sah, Deputy Mayor Rita Jha and ward chairpersons of all 25 wards of the Sub-Metropolitan City.
