Health workers of Haripur Municipality working in the face of the Covid-19 have staged a sit-in at the main gate of the municipality office demanding risk allowance. Haripur Municipality Health Branch Coordinator Bikau Mahato complained that despite the decision of the municipal executive committee to provide risk allowance to the health workers on April 2 has been made, the risk allowance has not been provided so far.
Accordng to Mahato, health workers haven’t received their allowances, even four months after the announced to pay for 100% salary to those who are employed in quarantine and 50% encouragement allowance . So, they are forced to agitate.
